Dana Cup on track with NT
Dana Cup participants will be able to enjoy a brand new experience this year. NT – Nordjyllands Trafikselskab and the Dana Cup have entered into a partnership, which will give participants with the Dana Cup armband the possibility to use NT's blue trains on the following routes: Hjørring-Hirtshals, Hjørring-Sindal, Hjørring Vrå and Sindal-Vrå.
- We are excited to get on track with this kind of public transport. This year it will be a good supplement to our own Dana Cup bus routes that move participants between the schools, the playing fields, the central Dana Cup area with our dining halls, event area and center courts. It will be even better when the tracks are "extended" and Hjørring will have a new station around the school accommodation area, just east of the train station. It will be located very close to the Dana Cup center area, says Dana Cup Director - Jette Andersen.
- Our partnership will focus on the Dana Cup participants but together with the Dana Cup we would like to create a greater focus and interest among the thousands of tourists visting each summer. This will happen via our App, which makes it very easy to travel on the trains, says Mette Henriksen - Customer and Sales Manager at NT.
When you can get around on the train, it is possible to get even more fun out of a week in Hjørring.
NT and the Dana Cup will get together and prepare some exciting proposals on how to use the trains. It is obvious with a visit to the North Sea Oceanarium in Hirtshals, a walk on the beach in Tornby, Vrå Art Museum and Hjørring's many offers will be even more interesting when you can use the train to get back and forth.
