Dana Cup is Known all over the World

 'It is in your nature to work hard, when the idea pops up. That is what you have done and, at the same time, you have had a wonderful ability to motivate your surroundings. This combination has made Dana Cup known all over the world', member of the board Torben Vandsted said while stating the reasons for presenting John Robert Larsen with the title of honorary president as a token of respect.

'More than 33 years ago, you got the idea to create a football tournament in Hjørring. Thousands of young people have – thanks to you – obtained experiences for life. The Dana Cup you created means a lot for Hjørring and the entire region of Vendsyssel. Each year Dana Cup with thousands of participants from the entire world creates a very special and colourful summer life in the area.

'Today, having retired, you may proudly look at what you have created and developed. Dana Cup wants to thank you for the huge effort. We thank you by presenting you with the title of honorary president as a token of respect. Moreover, it means that you'll be given a membership for life of 'Den Grønne Butterfly' – the organisation, which runs Dana Cup,' said Torben Vandsted, before John Robert Larsen was handed the visible proof by chairman Ole Vand Bruun and board member Karsten Dissing.
