Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy from Zambia – B19

Tell us briefly the history of your club/team?

Lusaks Youth Soccer Academy was formed in 2001 when the economy of Zambia was not doing well. It was formed to keep the youth out of the streets when most parents could not afford school fees. It is run by a group of volunteers who teach the boys soccer skills from the age of 5 to 18 years.

Is it your first time at the Dana Cup if not how many times has your club participated?

It was the first time we participated in 2014 and we won the Boys B19 class.

What are your goals and expectations for the Dana Cup 2015?

To expose the youth soccer team to good culture and football, to make friends, to forge partnerships with those willing to help in taking most of the boys back to school including college other than soccer.
