Got a hug from the world's best
He wanted to but no he will not be attending the Dana Cup 2015, the world's best soccer player of all time, Brazilian Pelé. Dana Cup's Marketing Manager Alison Leigh Forman did her very best when she meet the soccer legend at the NSCAA soccer convention in Philadelphia.
Her efforts pleased Pelé to the degree that he rewarded Alison with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Pelé and his Brazilian team introduced football samba at the World Cup in 1958 in Stockholm. At the following World Cup's in 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002 they repeated their collection of gold and in the first game of the series Pelé was on the field and excited the crowds all over.
But the Dana Cup will not see Pelé in 2015. Otherwise their are many entries rolling in to the office in Hjørring. The many guests at the NSCAA convention are showing a huge interest in visiting the Dana Cup booth, so there are high expectations with the contacts that will bring teams from North and South America to Hjørring in the coming years.
