Dana Cup Mini 9-11 May 2024 - Under construction
Welcome to the Dana Cup Mini – an international youth football tournament for boys and girls.
Dana Cup Mini is, as it sounds, a miniature edition of our larger Dana Cup tournament, held in the end of July each summer.
We use the same facilities and the same administration, so the tournament will run at the same high level but just over a shorter period of time.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE 2023
The tournament will be played on grass and artificial fields in the Dana Cup Center Area – all within walking distance.
Due to the limitation in the number of playing fields, there will be a maximum of 16 teams in each class.
The aim is for each team to play 5 games during the tournament.
The first games will start on Thursday the 18th of May 2023 at 13.30 and the last games will start on Saturday the 20th of May 2023 at 17.15.
FIRST ROUNDS – THURSDAY (1 GAME) AND FRIDAY (2 GAMES)
The teams are divided into groups of 4 teams. All-play-all tournament.
SECOND ROUNDS – SATURDAY (2 GAMES)
1. a. No. 1 in group 1 will play no. 1 in group 2
1. b. No. 1 in group 3 will play no. 1 in group 4
2. a. The 2 winners will play for 1st and 2nd place
2. b. The 2 losing teams will play for 3rd and 4th place
At the same time, No. 2 in the groups will play for 5th to 8th place, No. 3 in the groups will play for 9th to 12th place and No. 4 in the groups will play for 13th to 16th place.
If there are only 3 groups in a class, the 3 group winners will play against each other to find their placement. The same applies for the no. 2’s, 3’s and 4’s.
