Referees were welcomed
On Monday 220 referees from 15 different countries were welcomed to this year’s edition of the Dana Cup by Torsten Wekens, who is responsible for the referees.
The information meeting is a good tradition, where the referees have the opportunity to greet each other and to hear about the latest guidelines according to which the games in the tournament are played.
However, Torsten Wekens regretted that a handful of Chinese referees were unable to come to Denmark due to covid-19 restrictions.
On the other hand, he was pleased that two female referees from Nepal had found their way to Hjørring to become part of the team.
