Thomas Gaardsøe new Partner & Event Manager
44 year old, Thomas Gaardsøe, will start his new position as Partner and Event Manager at the Dana Cup on the 3rd of January 2024. Director Jette Andersen is looking forward to having Thomas join the team and the new Partner and Event Manager has great expectations, joining colleagues in an organization where sparring, communication and targeted efforts are paramount.
Over the past few years, the former professional footballer has been responsible for employees and culture at the Aalborg company KT Elektric A/S.
Thomas began his professional football career in 1998 at AaB, before moving on to play in England for Ipswich Town FC and West Bromwich Albion FC. He finished his career back in Denmark with AaB and Esbjerg fB.
From 2013 to 2020, Thomas worked as a football agent, along with being a football expert with various media houses.
Now it is about activities outside the football field itself, activities that are of the greatest importance when generating funds for an increasingly financially demanding world of football.
Thomas remembers his youth with great experiences at various football events - especially the community that sport exemplifies.
- I understand the importance for young people having these experiences with each other, and that is exactly what the Dana Cup and the many volunteers guarantee. I am very much looking forward to becoming a part of the organization.
Thomas has quite an extensive network within sport and in business. He will - together with his colleagues at the Dana Cup - nurture and expand that network as soon as he is in the Dana Cup office after the turn of the year.
