Pantera from Russia - G12

Tell us briefly the history of your club/team?

Our team was formed at school No. 31 in the city of Kostroma, Russia. I worked there as a sports teacher. Russian Football Federation held a football tournament among the schools and we decided to try to participate. I gathered quick and nimble girls and we went to our first tournament and without any training we immediately took 2nd place. I understood they were talented girls, and in the future they could play football very well. I asked them to think about it for a month and if they want to continue to play football, I'll train them. Two days later they came to me and said, that they wanted to play football. There were 6 people on our first training. Now there are 12. In our city there are no girls football teams, we have go to other cities to play control games. We have a dream to develop women's football in the city and region. Your event will help us to fulfill our dream!

Is it your first time at the Dana Cup if not how many times has your club participated?

It is the first time we'll come to Dana Cup and it will be our first trip to Europe. Thank you very much for the invitation.

What are your goals and expectations for the Dana Cup 2016?

We are looking forward to come to Denmark. And we want to be friends with boys and girls from all over the world. We also want many people to learn more about us and to promote women's football. Your Cup will help us to do it, will make our dream come true and soon there would be a lot of women's teams in Kostroma.
