Dana Cup – Hjørring – Denmark

Dana Cup – Hjørring – Denmark

Where the world meets through football.

Hjørring is one of Denmark’s oldest market towns and the heart of the Vendsyssel region in Northern Jutland. But for one very special week every summer, our city becomes something even more.

It becomes a meeting place for the world.

Since 1982, Dana Cup has welcomed young footballers from across the globe to Hjørring. From 222 teams at the very first tournament to around 1,000 teams from as many as 56 nations each summer, Dana Cup has grown into one of the world’s greatest international youth football experiences. Over the years, teams from an incredible 122 nations have been a part of our story.

For one unforgettable week, the streets, schools and football fields of Hjørring come alive with different languages, cultures, colours and, of course, football.

Hjørring a city made for the Dana Cup.

Everything is close at hand. With more than 60 playing fields, accommodation throughout the area and an impressive 31 fields in our central tournament area, Hjørring becomes a true football city.

Here you will also find the Dana Cup headquarters, our dining halls and the Dana Cup Fan Zone, a must-visit meeting point during the tournament week.

And when your next match, school or activity takes you outside the central area, the Dana Cup transport system helps you get around.

But Dana Cup is about much more than playing matches.

It is about young people from around the world meeting through their shared love of football. It is about respect, unity, equality, friendships and unforgettable experiences.

There is an international atmosphere in Hjørring during Dana Cup week that is difficult to describe until you have experienced it yourself.

If you have been here before, you already know.

And if you haven't?
