Excited Football Players Ready for the Dana Cup Experience
SV Adelby from Flensburg, Germany, are excited to participate in this year’s Dana Cup. This morn-ing, the team played their first match of the tournament against Obas Academy Football Club from Nigeria.
Despite losing 2–0 to the Nigerian side, Theo Gülck, Mortiz Jordt, Frederik Främbs and Torger Uellendahl from Flensburg enjoyed the experience of competing on the international stage and are looking forward to more matches during the week.
For SV Adelby, the Dana Cup is not only about results but also about meeting teams from different countries, creating memories, and gaining valuable experience both on and off the pitch.
"I personally thought it was really great to meet the players from Nigeria because we were already talking before the match, and after the game we took pictures together. There was a great atmosphere, even though we lost. In fact, we will probably come and watch one of their matches tomorrow, so you kind of become friends," Frederik Främbs explained.
"It is also exciting to see so many different countries playing football," Theo Gülck added.
"It was also a very special experience to take part in the opening ceremony at the stadium, especially because so many different nations are represented. Having former Denmark national team coach Kasper Hjulmand there was an extra highlight," Moritz Jordt emphasized.
