More than 1 million participants have taken part in the Dana Cup
Dana Cup 2026 will be the 43rd edition of the tournament since the first event was held in 1982. The Dana Cup takes place every year in week 30, and over the years, more than 1 million players have participated in one of the world’s largest youth football tournaments.
The more than 1 million participants have come from 122 nations. They have represented 4,981 clubs, with 23,902 boys’ teams and 8,381 girls’ teams taking part. Together, they have played 81,246 matches and scored 348,780 goals.
To manage the many thousands of matches, around 300 referees are involved every year.
At Dana Cup 2026, almost 1,000 teams from 56 nations will participate. Around 3,000 volunteers help make the tournament such a great success, which is why many clubs return year after year.
