Austrått IL from Norway quickly gained the upper hand in both play and chances, and it was in the air that the first goal would come soon.

It did so after just under 10 minutes, and when the Norwegian team went 2-0 up five minutes later, it was hard to see how the Stars And Stripes could come back and turn the game around.

They did not, and although the match faded a little in intensity in the second half, there was never any doubt who would take the gold medals after the match.

The result was sealed in style as Austrått IL netted three quick goals late in the match, leaving no doubt about the outcome.
