Accommodation at the Dana Cup – Behind the scenes of hosting 13.500 people
Every year, Dana Cup transforms Hjørring into a global football village. In 2025, Dana Cup will welcome a total of 1.000 teams from 57 nations. We will accommodate 790 teams in schools – a total of 13.500 players, coaches, and leaders. To make that possible, we use 29 different accommodation locations, mainly local schools. We also have teams and supporters on 9 hotels spread throughout Northern Jutland.
Our team works hard to distribute the teams in a way that promotes cultural exchange. We aim to house different nationalities together to create friendships that go beyond football.
Teams can choose to bring their own sleeping bags and air mattresses – or they can rent comfortable sleeping equipment directly from Dana Cup. We have 3.500 mattresses and 1.000 beds ready for delivery to the schools. All rented mattresses come with clean bedlinen and a pillow, so you can travel light.
