Best Friends off the Field, Opponents on it
Despite being rivals on the football field, one can still be friends off the field. Consequently, after the exciting game between Richmond Park FC from the UK and Korsvoll Il from Norway all players wanted to have a group photo in order to have a lasting memory of the 1/16 final in the group Girls 16.
'Last year we felt so welcome. I wish more English teams would come out, because the welcome we get is amazing. From any nationality team we have played. Generally speaking, the camaraderie between teams is fantastic and also back at the base camp it is the same. So many nationalities, boys and girls; well, there is a great atmosphere,' stresses coach Mitchell Haward from Richmond Park FC in London.
'Well, honestly, last year the experience of the Dana Cup took us into the following season in such a positive and cohesive way that it gave us a very successful season the next season, too. So, friendship, bonding, future friendship as well; some of the boys have got snap chat exchanges and that sort of thing. It is just a brilliant experience,' underlines Mitchell Haward, who is looking forward to tonight's game after the girls team from London deservedly won the game this morning 3-0.
