FK Bodø/Glimt – G18-19 - Norway

1. Tell us briefly the name of your club and where you come from, your history?

We come from the city of Bodø in the north of Norway, located just above the Arctic Circle. The club is part of FK Bodø/Glimt, which is best known for its men’s team currently competing in European competitions like the UEFA Europa League.

Our women's section is growing rapidly and Bodø Glimt Women 2 is our second senior team, made up of young players focused on development and taking the next step in their football careers. We play in the Norwegian 3rd division and train closely with the club’s first women’s team.

We are excited to represent both our city and our club at the Dana Cup for the very first time.

2. Tell us what participating in the Dana Cup means for you and your team/s?

Taking part in the Dana Cup means a lot to us. It’s not just a tournament – it’s a chance to meet new people, play against international teams and test ourselves in a competitive but fun environment. We see it as a valuable part of our development, both as players and as a team.

3. What are your goals and expectations at the Dana Cup 2025?

Our main goal is to perform well and grow through the experience. We hope to play good football, compete with strong teams, and push ourselves to reach the knockout stages. We also want to enjoy the tournament, bond as a team, and come home with great memories – and hopefully a few wins, too.

4. Dana Cup supports Football for the Goals - it is a United Nations initiative that provides a platform for the global football community to engage with and advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We ask all teams to pick at least 1 of the Global Goals that they support and will play the Dana Cup, which goal does your team support and would like to play for? Gender Equality. As a women’s team in a traditionally male-dominated sport, we believe in equal opportunities for girls and women in football – on and off the pitch. By playing at Dana Cup, we want to inspire more girls to play, compete, and dream big.
