Competing Against International Teams Provides Excellent Practice

This morning, the girls' team Hold My Hand Football Project from Ethiopia played their opening match of the tournament against Åssiden IF from Norway in Group G16. Although they lost the entertaining game 3-0, the Ethiopian girls remained in high spirits.

‘It’s a fantastic experience to play against a Norwegian team, as the players have never had that opportunity before,” coach Etob Akmz says. “Taking part in the Dana Cup is great practice, as it’s such an international tournament,’ he adds.

‘Moreover, we would like to express our gratitude to the Dana Cup because we are very happy to be here,’ he states.
