1. Tell us briefly the name of your club and where you come from, your history?
Our club, Deren FC, is based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Founded in 2008, Deren FC has grown to support over 450 young athletes ranging from ages 6 to 16, across 12 age categories. In addition to our youth development programs, we field two competitive teams in the Mongolian football league: our senior team and a second team. Deren FC has a long-standing tradition of participating in international youth tournaments, reflecting our commitment to nurturing the next generation of football talent. Over the years, we have competed in prestigious events across Europe. Additionally, we have participated in multiple tournaments in China and South Korea, further enriching our players' international experience.
2. Tell us what participating in the Dana Cup means for you and your team/s?
Participating in the Dana Cup is a highly significant opportunity for both our athletes and our club as a whole. It allows our young players to compete on an international stage, gain invaluable experience, and showcase their talents to a global audience. The tournament not only provides a platform for technical and tactical development, but it also plays a key role in fostering teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. In addition, it enables us to build relationships with teams from different countries, further strengthening our commitment to international football development.
3. What are your goals and expectations at the Dana Cup 2025?
At the Dana Cup 2025, our primary goal is to continue the development of our players through exposure to high-level international competition. We aim to refine both their technical and tactical abilities while nurturing a strong, competitive mindset. While achieving success on the field is always a goal, our main focus is on the process of learning, growing and enjoying the experience. We look forward to returning from the tournament with improved performances, valuable insights, and lasting relationships with teams from diverse cultures. Thank you for your time and consideration.
