Smørås IL 1 (NOR) – AS Roma Academy (NIG) (0-2) 0-5
Justice does not exist in football. However, Norwegian Smørås deserved a better fate against the very big boys from Nigeria.
Even though some of the Norwegian boys were about half the height of the players from AS Roma's academy, they went into the match with great spirit and were at no time afraid of the much physically stronger Africans.
After a fumbling start and, by the way, a couple of good Norwegian attempts, AS Roma Academy took the lead with a nice long shot, and when they doubled the score just three minutes later, it was only a question of the size of the victory.
The Norwegian goalkeeper, who was very small compared to the Nigerian opponents, played an excellent game and prevented the defeat from becoming bigger, after all.
The rest of the match was really just a question of the size of the victory. But huge respect for Smørås.
