Both teams started the match very well. High tempo and good ball control.
After a goalless 1st half, FC Wizards deservedly took the lead. The English were the bit better that justified the lead, but Stars'N Stripes never gave up.

Consequently, 12 minutes before the final whistle, they equalized, and when the Americans made it 2-1 five minutes later, there was never any doubt as to who would get the gold medals. However, both teams played well.
