Ukrainian Chornomorets made it 2-0 rather quickly. Thus, the foundation for a narrow victory was laid, because the American girls were not really able to threaten the opponents.
The halftime break was good, however, because only eight minutes had been played when NSA scored on penalty - in two attempts.

The goal gave the Americans renewed faith that the game could be won, but they never managed to threaten Chornomorets' goal and, consequently, no more goals were scored.
