It was a closely contested final from start to finish, with both teams giving everything they had. In the end, a single goal just two minutes into the second half proved to be the decisive moment.
Storm BK came agonisingly close to taking the lead after eight minutes of the first half when a powerful shot struck the junction of the post and crossbar. After the break, Lillehammer were equally unfortunate as a shot came back off the post.
As the final whistle drew nearer, the intensity continued to rise, with Storm BK piling on the pressure in search of an equaliser. However, Lillehammer stood firm under the sustained pressure and held on to claim the trophy.
