It only costs 200 DKK to get rid of the smelly socks in your team bag. At Hyttebyen, the Dana Cup offers to wash and dry both players’ kit and personal clothing.
"And if we have time, we also fold the clothes neatly and make sure everything looks nice. Nobody wants to walk around wearing a wrinkled T-shirt," says Stine Roed Einarsson with a smile. She is one of the many staff members operating the rows of washing machines and dryers.
The 200 DKK price covers the amount of clothing that fits into one washing machine. If there is more laundry, the price naturally increases. A wash typically takes a couple of hours, including drying.
"We work around the clock in the laundry. The night shifts are especially busy washing all the clothes from Dana Cup’s huge kitchen, along with players’ kits and personal clothing," she adds.
