Team Interview - North Vancouver FC - Canada
Tell us briefly the name of your club and where you come from, a little background?
North Vancouver Football Club (NVFC). Our 2009 team is based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We are the first ever girls team with NVFC and our team plays in the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL). The BCSPL is the highest level of youth soccer within BC.
Tell us what participating in the Dana Cup means for you and your team/s?
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our team. Our players are inspired by the Canadian Women's National Team and their success on the global stage. Our team is the next generation of female players. It is important for our player development to play against competition from outside Canada and to gain international experience.
What are your goals and expectations at the Dana Cup 2023?
To meet players from different cultures and backgrounds from around the world. To enjoy the historic 40th Anniversary of the Dana Cup and experience everything the tournament has to offer.

Global Goal No. 5 - Gender Equality - Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls. As female athletes our team hears and feels the bias even within our own society. We pledge to use our voices to eradicate injustice and standup for equality for all.
