Dana Cup, Hjørring 2016 will be the 35th International Youth Soccer Tournament held in Hjørring, Denmark.
The Dana Cup started modestly in 1982 with 222 teams and we have grown and expanded over the last 34 years to welcome around 1.000 teams from 45 nations each summer. The last two years we have achieved new records with 1.011 teams in 2014 and 1.087 teams in 2015 and along with this we have kept the basic values of our tournament in order – with QUALITY being our number 1 value!
The Dana Cup takes place in the small city of Hjørring, which is one of Denmark's oldest cities, over 750 years old. The top of Denmark is well known for it's history, nature, art, gastronomy and of course the World famous DANA CUP tournament. The Hjørring community has a population of almost 30.000, so it is the perfect platform to welcome around 30.000 Dana Cup participants each year.
Our tournament takes place on one of Northern Europe's best arenas, filled with beautiful grassed football fields and in a very safe environment.
From the moment you arrive in Hjørring we are ready to take care of you and your participants to ensure your one week in Hjørring will be the best it possibly can be. We have free pick up and drop off for teams who order our tournament A-band and arrive in Northern Jutland, you can see where here and during the tournament we have our own free shuttle bus system running between the schools, the center area and the playing fields that are just outside the center area. Breakfast is comfortably served on your school with lunch and dinner served in our brand new FiberHallen in the center area.
