Three People Honoured at VIP-Evening
In keeping with tradition, Dana Cup arranged a festive event for managers, sponsors and other invited guests Tuesday evening in Fiberhallen.
At this year’s VIP-evening three people were honoured having in different ways made a remarkable effort in connection with the Dana Cup over the years.
Mamuka Kvaratskhelia from Georgia has participated for 25 years in the Dana Cup, both as a journalist and as a travel agent for a total of 53 teams for the last 22 years.
Byron Maldonado from La Academia FC in Guatemala has sent 33 teams to the Dana Cup for the last 17 years and this year two teams participate.
Finally, the former British reporter at the BBC, Bill Hamilton, has participated in the Dana Cup for several years as a skilled and respected referee among both players and colleagues.
Moreover, the two Norwegian clubs Stathelle Og Omegn and Mandalskammeraterne became members of Club 100 – that is clubs that have send 100 teams to the Dana Cup in Hjørring over the years.
