Beaten in a Penalty Shoot-out
When Skedsmo’s team in G14 lost a penalty shoot-out to Viking FK, also from Norway, tears ran free because it meant that the Girls’ Club of the Year in Norway was out. Now players, coaches and managers can focus on supporting some of the other teams from Skedsmo that are still in the tournament.
‘Skedsmo has participated in the Dana Cup for the past 17 years, and this year we are here with 12-13 teams.’ Last year, Skedsmo lost to Danish AaB in the A-final in G16, finishing as the runners-up of the tournament.
‘We are disappointed with the defeat today, but now we cheer on some of other teams. Every year we stay in the high school strengthening the sense of community. We think that Dana Cup is a fantastic tournament, where the football fields are close to each other, where all facilities are fine, it is easy to get around and, not least, it is both straightforward and free to park,’ it sounds with a smile.
After all.
