270 Referees to Officiate 2500 Matches

Refereeing at the Dana Cup is highly prestigious, and already at Christmas time around 200 referees had signed up for the upcoming tournament', Thomas Jensen from the Dana Cup Referee Committee states. Consequently, 270 referees from all over the world have signed up for this year's tournament.

'The referees will have a total of 2800 refereeing tasks, including 2500 matches. Many of the referees have been involved for many years, and for them the Dana Cup is a firm summer tradition. They form a strong network. They are happy to support the tournament and act as ambassadors for the tournament in their respective home countries. And it works very well, when the referees talk about the Dana Cup among themselves,' says Thomas Jensen smiling.
