Røa has sent 100 Teams to Dana Cup

From the time when Dana Cup started in 1982 Røa IL has been a regular element of the tournament.

With a single team in G12 this year, Røa reaches a milestone with 100 teams in Dana Cup's history. And there are many reason for returning year after year:

'Hjørring is a town, which is built for playing football. There are lots of football clubs and, consequently, many fine football grounds that enable such a big tournament. The organisation of Dana Cup and the atmosphere are really good, and we meet a lot of new teams. I think that is why we keep returning,' says Nils-Arne Grønlie, who is at Dana Cup for the third time.

'As a matter of fact, if we make it to the A-finals then we would be very satisfied. It is the girls' first real tournament, and the Danish teams are really good, but we hope to qualify for the A-finals.'

Røa IL were beaten 2-0 by Fortuna Hjørring in their first match.
