55 Teams Are Knocked Out Every Hour

Thursday is the day when the sheep are separated from the goats in the Dana Cup. The day when some teams have to face the fact that their dream of lifting the big trophy on Saturday will unfortunately not be realized. Instead, they can go home if they want to.

“Currently, 55 teams are knocked out of the tournament every hour, and by the end of Thursday, there will be 751 fewer teams left,” say Kim Neistskov and Ole Vang Bruun from the tournament management.

“Tomorrow, when both the B finals and the first A finals will be played, there will be 217 losers and 10 winners of the B finals. On Saturday, a total of 19 finals are scheduled to take place, so, 38 teams are set to head home. - as winners or losers.

In total, 2547 matches will have been played during Dana Cup 2025 when the final whistle blows on Saturday evening.
