Dana Cup Opening Ceremony – A spectacular start to an unforgettable week

The Dana Cup kicks off in style and it all begins with the traditional Opening Ceremony. Every year, around 20,000 players, coaches, referees, volunteers and fans gather for one big celebration of football, friendship, and international unity.

Since 1982, the Opening Ceremony has been a highlight of the tournament week. Teams from around the world march proudly through the streets of Hjørring, waving their national flags and wearing club colours before entering the Nord Energi Arena for an evening filled with atmosphere, music, and memories.

Teams from each nation are selected so that all countries are represented in our opening ceremony. Everyone is, of course, welcome to participate in the parade. For those not taking part in the parade, we recommend arriving early and finding a seat in the stands to experience the unique moment when Dana Cup 2025 is officially declared open.

An evening of unity and celebration

The Opening Ceremony is more than a parade, it’s a vibrant meeting point of cultures, languages and shared passion. When the stadium fills, the music starts and flags fly high, it’s clear: Dana Cup is about more than football - it’s about people.

Come and experience the magic as thousands of youth players and supporters from all over the world gather in Hjørring for one incredible moment.
