Dana Cup to work more in Africa
Every year, African teams are eager to participate in the Dana Cup and the Dana Cup would very much like to see a higher participation from the African continent. At times, it can be quite complicated for Africans to obtain permission to travel to Denmark. Dana Cup is now focusing on servicing African teams to an even greater extent and attracting more teams from the African continent.
Frank Petersen – Sports Director at B93 Women's Team – has extensive experience with football in Africa. For several years, he has travelled in Africa and worked with African clubs or teams and he has been a mediator when African players want to try their luck as professionals in Denmark. For example, he was involved in bringing Fortuna's Joy Omewa to the country.
Frank has been appointed as a Sales Consultant for the Dana Cup. His primary task will be to work with African teams and clubs who are interested in participating in the Dana Cup. There are already some very good contacts but there has also been teams in the past that have had to withdraw at the last minute.
With Frank's background and expertise, it will be possible to reach out with ideal arrangements and hopefully, there will be even more African teams at the Dana Cup in the future.
In addition to his primary task in Africa, Frank will also work on bringing more teams from the eastern part of Denmark to the Dana Cup in Hjørring in July.
Frank Petersen has already started working!
