Rawahel (PAL) – Dazzle FC (NIG) 5-3 after extra time and penalties (0-0)
The best final of the day so far. Two excellent teams that both could and had the will to create a good match. The standard of play was high, and the pace of the game was excellent.
On the other hand, goals were hard to come by for both sides. Rawahel came closest, but neither team managed to get the ball over the line in the 1st half. However, the second half was only a few minutes old when Dazzle FC somewhat surprisingly found the back of the net following a goalmouth scramble.
For a long time, it looked as though the scoreline would remain unchanged, but in stoppage time, Rawahel managed to equalise.
With neither side able to find a winner in extra time, the match had to be decided by a penalty shootout. Rawahel held their nerve, scoring four of their five penalties, while Dazzle FC missed two of their attempts.
