Three Teams from Erling Haaland's Childhood Club, Bryne FK,
participate in This Year's Dana Cup
Several clubs that have nurtured players who have made it all the way to a professional contract as a senior player participate in the Dana Cup. One of those clubs is Bryne FK, where Erling Haaland played as a child and youth player.
The club participates with 48 players divided into three teams, and approx. 30 parents have taken the trip to Hjørring. One of the players is Robin Tjusevik, who has big ambitions.
‘I expect us to play well, win a lot of games, and then I would like to be in the semi-finals of the A play-offs,’ he says.
The fact that Haaland has previously played for the club does not exactly lower the level of ambition either.
‘It creates high expectations for the Bryne players that Haaland has become so good. Many expect us to take home a trophy,’ Robin Tjusevik says.
However, it is not only the results that matter to Robin Tjusevik. The social aspect must also be in focus.
‘I'm most looking forward to being with my mates and playing a lot of football,’ he says.
Tuesday at 10, Bryne FK's three teams had played five games, having won three and lost two matches.
