To the Dana Cup with Fine Results

Last week TSS Malaysia successfully participated in Gothia Cup in Sweden.  They won all the games in the Swedish tournament, thereby underlining its position as one of the best clubs in its home country.

‘With those results in the Gothia Cup, we make no secret of the fact that we have come to the Dana Cup to win,’ smiles manager Shahrul and adds that the trip to Europe is also an educational journey for the boys.

‘ In addition to winning football games, it is important that they learn about other cultures and habits, which can be very different from ours. For example, the Danish weather is rather cold, just as the food is unfamiliar. Moreover, we usually eat more spicy food,’ he smiles.

At home TSS Malaysia plays in the National League, and many things indicate that the team is in a league of its own during the Dana Cup. They won the first match 12-0, the second 4-0, the third 9-0 and only B-67 from Greenland managed to score a single goal. However, they still won the game 6-1. Late Thursday they play Havnar Bóltfelag from the Faeroe Islands, who are also unbeaten. TSS Malaysia has never participated in the Dana Cup before and Shahrul does not hide the fact that they would like to return next year.

’We have previously taken part in tournaments in e.g. Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore, but this is the first time the boys are in Europe. The Dana Cup is a great experience for everyone,’ the manager points out.
