Great experience for Copenhagen children!
Denmark's former Prime Minister - Helle Thorning-Schmidt and former Liverpool player - Daniel Agger will be sending two teams, a boys and a girls team from Copenhagen's west side to the Dana Cup in Hjørring.
As a part of the Save the Children project ”A Place for All" The Agger Foundation has secured that the two teams from Rosenhøj Boldklub will go to the Dana Cup in July.
The teams have just recently attended an official kick-off training session with Daniel Agger and Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Rosenhøj's playing fields in Hvidovre.
Dana Cup is Denmark's largest sporting event, attracting more than 20.000 participants each year from all around the World.
Daniel Agger secured that "A Place for All" came to Brøndby and Hvidovre and with open arms from the Dana Cup, he has made it possible for the two teams to come to the tournament in Hjørring between the 23rd and the 28th of July, 2018.
Not only with the children attend free of charge, they will be fully equipped with football clothes - proudly sponsored by New Balance Danmark.
Daniel Agger, who is also from the west side has collected funds to ensure that the Save the Children project "A Place for All" could exist within the Brøndby and Hvidovre Community. This has been achieved in partnership with Denmark's former Prime Minister - Helle Thorning-Schmidt, who today is the CEO for ”Save the Children International”. Their partnership is assisting the children in the community to be integrated in local leisure activities which can enhance their well-being in their growth.
”A Place for All” is for children aged between 5 and 12 years of age. A partnership between local football clubs, Save the Children local offices and more than 20 of the countries communities are supporting children with different social, cultural and health reasons who struggle to be included witin their local community.
The kick-off training is the kick-off signal to the Dana Cup, with just over a month to go before it all starts happening in Northern Denmark.
With the experience of taking part in the Dana Cup close at hand and a very special training with Helle and Daniel, the children were full of smiles and hapiness.
Helle Thorning-Schmidt is CEO for Save the Children International and Daniel Agger's reputation is undisputed, so the experience from the training session and the time spent together after training with autograph signing etc. was a huge experience for both the children and their parents.
