Dana Cup honours two veterans
Two individuals who have both made an enormous contribution to the Dana Cup Support Association, formerly known as The Green Butterfly, have been honoured for the tremendous work they have carried out every summer over many years at the Dana Cup, International Youth Football Tournament in Hjørring.
Jørgen Dahl has been involved since the very beginning of the Dana Cup in 1982, while Ole Vang Bruun took on the work of organizing the tournament schedule when the Dana Cup was still only a few years old.
The Chairman of the Dana Cup Support Association, Finn Larsen, expressed his appreciation and sincere thanks to the two when presenting the certificates of honour.
Jørgen Dahl has been involved since the start. He has always worked in the results department and dealt with the playing fields and all kinds of other matters. He is very meticulous in his work and everything is well structured, said Finn Larsen. At the same time, Jørgen is great fun to be around, which I have truly enjoyed. Every year, at the end of the Dana Cup week, Jørgen gives the same speech, delivering a new and funny story every time.
Ole Vang Bruun has been involved almost since the beginning. He is very thorough in everything he does and there is never a half answer. Ole is quite simply a walking encyclopedia. He knows everything about the laws and regulations of the game and he is always willing to help and give guidance.
