The collaboration between Spar Nord Fonden, Dana Cup and the hundreds of volunteers associated with the Dana Cup is getting an extra boost.
The Spar Nord Foundation is donating the so-called "Volunteer T-Shirts " to all volunteers at the Dana Cup 2023. This includes the volunteers from within the Dana Cup organization, our co-op clubs and volunteers out on the playing fields.
No fewer than 4.000 volunteer T-shirts have been purchased and now there is only a few days before the shirts will be worn by the hundreds of volunteers.
“For several years, we have wanted to show our appreciation to our volunteers at a higher level. When we did our Dana Cup 2022 “Come Back” tournament, the Spar Nord Foundation donated towards a special volunteer event, where we celebrated the Dana Cup come back.
Now the foundation is once again giving us an opportunity to show our appreciation to our volunteers and it means the world to us, says the Jette Andersen the Director of the Dana Cup.”
“The Dana Cup is a welcome, and sometimes financial necessity for many of our co-op clubs within our community and it is strongly connected with volunteers.
Communities and volunteering in our local community speak to a large extent in the Spar Nord Foundation's distribution policy, and we are therefore very happy to support the life of the association with a donation specifically aimed at the many volunteers, says Mette Green Clausen from the Spar Nord Foundation.”
With the Spar Nord Foundation's donation in 2022, the Dana Cup started something that looks set to become a tradition: The Volunteer After Party.
Over 300 volunteers attended the after party last year and we look forward to welcoming everyone back this year, on the 2nd of September in the FiberHallen.
